Nadia's Initiative Supports Survivors of ISIS Captivity - Phase II
Many Yazidi women have already survived captivity and sexual violence at the hands of ISIS. Now they are attempting to heal, while also rebuilding their lives and their community in Sinjar, Iraq.
Nadia’s Initiative is undertaking a survivor-centric approach to the redevelopment of Sinjar by prioritizing sensitive, holistic, and tangible support for survivors of sexual violence based on the needs they express. In partnership with Nabu NGO, NI is supplying female survivors and their families with various household goods, as well as cash payments.
