Nadia's Initiative Continues COVID-19 Food Distributions

The COVID-19 lockdown has left thousands of families in Sinjar, Iraq without a means to earn an income and feed their children. Those already vulnerable due to displacement have been most impacted by COVID’s travel restrictions and curfews.

Yazidis are still in the process of rebuilding their lives in Sinjar, but now COVID is threatening their mobility, security, livelihoods, and health. Funded by USAID and implemented by Sunrise NGO, Nadia’s Initiative is distributing emergency food to thousands of families to mitigate the pandemic’s impact on those most vulnerable.
