Nadia's Initiative Concludes Survivors Support Project

For Yazidi survivors of ISIS captivity, refrigerators, stoves, heaters, and washing machines are so much more than household items - they enable women to feed their children, establish a safe space, and heal from trauma.

Nadia’s Initiative’s Survivor Support Project provided household goods, cash payments, and psychosocial support for Yazidi survivors and their families. The needs of survivors informed the project’s trauma-sensitive and survivor-centric approach.

When women are empowered with choice, they improve the socio-economic stability of their communities for generations to come.
