Grassroots Approach to Sustainable Development: Community Outreach Initiatives

As part of our grassroots approach to sustainable development, Nadia’s Initiative conducts monthly community outreach workshops to offer Sinjar community members a chance to voice their concerns and provide their input on gaps in service provision.

Funded by USAID, our monthly workshops also serve as an opportunity for marginalized members of the community, particularly women, to share how they can be better incorporated into the region’s redevelopment efforts.

Listening to women and designing projects that meet their needs is critical to empowering them to heal and rebuild and is a cornerstone of NI’s inclusive, survivor-centric programming.
