Empowering Disabled Youth in Sinjar

Nadia’s Initiative strives to ensure equitable access to education for all children in Sinjar.

Children with disabilities often face an education landscape that is not disability friendly and prevents them from regularly attending school.

Recently, Nadia’s Initiative distributed electric wheelchairs to disabled Yazidi youth to increase accessibility and improve their independence.

The electric wheelchairs will help students navigate school buildings with more ease and without aid from others.
