Emergency Livelihoods Support in Aljzeera and Adnaniya Complexes
After languishing in IDP camps just hours away from their homeland for years, many Yazidi families are returning to their areas of origin in Aljzeera and Adnaniya complexes in Sinjar.
To respond to their urgent needs, Nadia's Initiative is launching two emergency livelihoods support projects. In Aljzeera, 22 families will be provided with emergency livelihoods support in the form of shelter repair. In Adnaniya, 15 families will also receive shelter repair. Additionally, Adnaniya complex will be provided with electricity infrastructure and the police station will be rehabilitated and equipped.
Supporting vulnerable returnees with basic services upon their return is vital to laying the foundations for a sustainable return.
