A Year in Review - Nadia's Initiative's 2021 Advocacy Work

“Every new day a Yazidi woman endures sexual slavery, a child is unable to return to school, and a family cannot earn an income, we are reminded of what was taken from us and what little has been done to restore it.” - Nadia Murad.

Yazidis in Iraq experienced violence and persecution for decades. Nadia’s Initiative is determined to break the cycle of marginalization and vulnerability. The Initiative amplifies Yazidi calls for justice and advocates world leaders to listen and act. We are on a mission to create a world where women are able to live peacefully, and where communities that have experienced atrocities receive justice.
