Nadia's Initiative Completes Rehabilitation of Adnaniya Primary Health Center
The destruction of public infrastructure and healthcare centers in Sinjar prevents residents from accessing quality healthcare and critical treatment for the ongoing pandemic.
Seven years later, former Adnaniya community members are still displaced in other areas of Sinjar and IDP camps. The community reached out to Nadia’s Initiative asking for support to rebuild, so they can return to their areas of origin. In response to the community’s needs, Nadia’s Initiative rehabilitated the primary health center in Adnaniya complex. The initiative also restored clean water in the complex and is rebuilding a primary school. These projects enhance the livelihoods of local residents, while incentivizing displaced families to return to their homes.
