Eliminating Sexual Violence in Conflict - Creating Roads to Recovery

For survivors of conflict related sexual violence, abuse is the first battle in a long war with stigma, trauma, and marginalization. Rarely is sexual violence recognized as a war crime, and rarer still do survivors receive support for recovery or legal accountability.

On International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, we have to speak out. Not only for survivors, but for the 2,800 women and children who still experience abuse in ISIS captivity. But we also know that words are not enough. How do we know this? Survivors remind us every day. They demand action.

Join Nadia’s Initiative by calling on leaders and legislators to take meaningful action to invest in survivors and create a world free from sexual violence.
