August 3rd: Commemorating the 8th Anniversary of the Yazidi Genocide

Yazidis who survived genocide and sexual violence have shown immense strength and courage. Yet, it is likely they will carry the trauma of the protracted violence and displacement they endured for the rest of their lives.

Nadia’s Initiative aims to amplify the voices of survivors, so they may share their memories, experiences, and hopes that have kept them moving forward despite all they have been through.

Some survivors have shared their stories endlessly. Others have struggled to be heard. We can help all survivors by listening to them and using our own voices to fight for accountability and justice for the entire community.
