Celebrating the Yazidi New Year with Gifts and Activities for Vulnerable Children

Last week, Nadia's Initiative and implementing partner Sunrise NGO came together to celebrate Cenja Sare Sale, the Yazidi New Year, with children from the Sinjar community. The New Year event marked the joyous occasion for orphans and child survivors of captivity, providing them with games, presents, entertainment, and a selection of other fun activities.

Nadia’s Initiative understands the critical importance of creating safe spaces for young children to play to heal from the trauma of conflict and war. We will continue investing in early childhood education initiatives throughout the Sinjar region.
