Supporting Sinuni Hospital to Facilitate Quality Healthcare in Sinjar

The primary objective of Nadia’s Initiative’s work to strengthen Sinjar's healthcare sector is to expand local residents' access to affordable, quality healthcare. The first step in achieving this goal is the establishment of functioning healthcare facilities, followed by the provision of essential medical supplies and equipment, and finally, the enhanced capacities of healthcare personnel.

Nadia's Initiative is building a new x-ray facility and laboratory at Sinuni General Hospital, in addition to renovating the drug store and garden area and creating additional shaded outdoor spaces for staff and patients.

This project will improve the working conditions for 1,162 employees and increase the service provision for 70,000 residents in the region.

This project is funded by Austrian Development Agency with funds from Austrian Development Cooperation.
