Nadia's Initiative's 2nd Women's Small Business Incubator: Greenhouse

In the aftermath of the 2014 genocide, thousands of Yazidi women who had lost their husbands became the primary income earners for their families. As a result, the demand for economic opportunities for Yazidi women in Sinjar has grown significantly.

Despite the need, Yazidi women encounter numerous challenges, including limited resources, economic instability, and gender discrimination in the labor market.

By providing financial, social, and psychological support to women to establish their own businesses, Nadia's Initiative is taking the lead in promoting women’s economic empowerment in Sinjar.

Supporting and enhancing women's participation in the region's economy is critical to achieving poverty reduction, livelihood improvement, and a more equitable society.

This project is funded by UAE Aid.
