Nadia's Initiative Rehabilitates and Reopens Sheikh Malack Hassan Temple in Sinjar

Yazidis celebrated the reopening of their beloved Malack Sheikh Hassan Temple in the beginning of May. While the temple’s destruction was a symbol of ISIS’s attempt to eradicate Yazidism from Iraq, its rehabilitation is now a symbol of Yazidis’ survival and efforts to restore their homeland in Sinjar.

This is the second temple that was fully reconstructed and opened by Nadia’s Initiative with support from ALIPH Foundation.
