Nadia's Initiative Rehabilitates Aljzeera Primary Health Center
The healthcare infrastructure in Sinjar, Iraq has been precarious for decades due to resource deprivation, and recent conflicts have only worsened the situation. In small communities like Aljzeera in South Sinjar, primary healthcare services are often inadequate or nonexistent.
To address the community's need for quality healthcare in the region, Nadia’s Initiative rehabilitated, furnished, and reopened Aljzeera’s Primary Health Center (PHC). The new and improved Aljzeera PHC now serves over 500 residents in Aljzeera and surrounding villages. Residents no longer have to make a costly trip to other regions to meet their basic healthcare needs.
