Nadia's Initiative Launches WASH Project in Hayali Village

Nadia’s Initiative is working to secure access to safe drinking water for Yazidis returning to their homes in Hayali village in South Sinjar, where they are restoring WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) services. The rehabilitated infrastructure - including boreholes, steel water tanks, and submersible pumps - will provide returnees with clean drinking water. Once restored, residents will be trained in sustainable management techniques of the infrastructure provided in order to independently maintain their water quality for years to come.

This project is funded by the Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation.
