Nadia's Initiative Launches New Livelihoods Project to Support Small Businesses

The economic repercussions of ISIS’ genocide against Yazidis have left many business owners in Bashiqa district struggling to keep their shops and livelihoods afloat.

Nadia's Initiative believes that enabling local entrepreneurs to revive their businesses is critical to restoring the economic stability and wellbeing of the Yazidi community. With funding from Swedish MFA, we are now providing essential equipment and resources to 10 business owners (men and women) in Bashiqa. The benefits will extend to 33 employees and over 34,000 local community members.
