Nadia's Initiative Launches Hygiene Awareness Campaign in Sinjar Schools

Hygiene is integral to the health of our communities and stopping the spread of COVID-19. Good hygiene is not only behavioral, it requires access to WASH infrastructure and supplies that are severely lacking in Sinjar, Iraq.

As part of its comprehensive WASH restoration project funded by UAE Aid, Nadia’s Initiative is launching a campaign to promote hygiene awareness and deliver hygiene kits with essential supplies to students in 35 schools in Sinjar. Classroom workshops are being led by local Village Water Committee members who were trained to lead water and sanitation efforts in their communities.
