Nadia's Initiative and USAID Complete Support to North Sinjar Electricity Directorate

Facilitating increased access to electricity in Sinjar significantly improves the livelihoods of Yazidis. Electricity supports everyday household usage, farms, water facilities, hospitals, schools, and encourages the return of still displaced Yazidis to their homeland.

Nadia's Initiative and USAID, with local partner Jelan NGO, supplied the Al-Shamal Electricity Directorate in North Sinjar with cranes and safety equipment to increase the capacity of services provided to the community, while also ensuring a safe working environment for the department's employees.
