ISIS destroyed over 80% of public infrastructure in Sinjar, including communal spaces and symbolically important landmarks like Yarmouk Roundabout. Restoring public spaces provides Sinjar residents with a sense of cohesion and communal healing. That is why Nadia's Initiative and USAID rehabilitated Yarmouk Roundabout in Sinjar to provide a safe place for residents to relax and spend time together.
