Our Work is Not Done
It has been 10 years since the Yazidi community in Iraq suffered evil on a scale unimaginable for most of us. Thousands of men were killed, thousands of women and girls were kidnapped and subjected to sexual violence, and hundreds of thousands were displaced. A decade on, little has been done to help the Yazidi community recover. Much of their homeland remains destroyed, over 2,500 Yazidis are still missing, and efforts to deliver justice to the community have been inadequate and painfully slow.
Alongside survivors and the local community, we have been fighting for justice, working to rebuild Sinjar, and rescue the women and children who remain in captivity, but we cannot do this alone. As we mark the 10th anniversary of the Yazidi genocide, we are asking you to join us in sending a strong message to the Yazidi community and survivors worldwide that they have not been forgotten, and to reaffirm that our work is not done.
